There was a time when practices like banner advertising where new to the web. Now it is a common place to see cheap internet advertising every time a browser is opened. Marketers saw the web as a perfect place to reach millions worldwide with inexpensive advertising techniques. Well, now we the consumer and web surfer have been inundated with pay-per-click and banner advertising to a degree that makes me want to freak out.

Once amazing websites have been bought out and turned into overboard advertising junkyards. Case and point is the social media Mecca known as shoutwire.com. This place has been completely ruined by pop up ads. Digg.com has remained firm in their media coverage beliefs but one can only think that it is just a matter of time before some company offers them millions if not billions for a buy-out then everyone loses accept for the heads of Digg.  Cheap internet advertising has reached a peak on the web and for what. The majority of personal sites that use cheap discount online advertising do not even see healthy results so what is the point.
