Instead of being an information based website, this one is has a product that I am selling, and I've decided to avoid pay per click advertising because for my budget, it's a little pricey right now. I myself dislike banner advertising and have never responded positively to anything advertised this way, simply because I don't like the intrusive nature of it. One site I looked at had a short paragraph on selecting a demographic-that's a great idea, but their targets were a little broad, and there is more to a demographic than age distributions. I'm looking for people who are interested in making a small investment in saving money by cooking healthy nutritious food that tastes great. One of the first things I'm going to do is talk to other website owners who are focused on saving money, getting value, and being green. It may be that we can swap links, and that will help everyone generate more traffic organically and for free.
